Sales & Product Manager

Dynalon Tradeshow boothDynalab is looking for a dynamic Sales & Product Manager to join the Commercial Team in Rochester, NY.  This individual will be responsible for developing the company product line and expanding sales volume. 

The Sales & Product Manager position is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the company product line.  In addition, this position manages sales efforts, provides new customer development and existing customer ongoing to support to expand sales volume.  The Sales & Product Manager will be responsible to increase sales at maximum margins, maintain positive business relationships with customers and keep them informed, and respond in a timely fashion to solve customer issues.  Other functions may be assigned and management retains the discretion to add or change job duties.

This position works closely with members of the marketing, sales, sales support and operations departments to ensure continuity in product offering and company goals. The Sales & Product Manager is also responsible for adhering to and promoting the company values by performing duties in a manner that is consistent with being a team leader and supports the continued growth of the company.

Key Responsibilities
• Visit customers  and maintain communication with key dealer account contacts to strengthen business relationships and increase sales.
• Provide customers with quotations, product proposals, pricing and product information including technical product information. Monitor and update contractual sales agreements.
• Identify new product opportunities.  Provide product training to customers, potential customers and employees.
• Perform competitive analysis by customer channel and recommend strategies to improve market position, improve quality or reduce costs. 
• Produce, maintain and update annual forecast. 
• Assist Marketing with the catalog design and catalog layout, literature and price books.
• Direct and perform all aspects of product development, product changes and product promotions, including development procedures, specifying components, packaging and header design, product positioning, pricing, catalog and sell sheet copy, training aides and point of purchase merchandisers. 
• Prepare and provide documented weekly and monthly activities log, including visits, communications, and projected sales.
• Develop and maintain product database with product specifications, artwork and catalog copy for dealer co-op advertising and catalogs programs. 
• Arrange, plan and participate in appropriate Trade Shows throughout the year.  
• Domestic travel may be up to 15% of the time, and may require travel out of the area, and overnight   Employee will be expected to travel to visit customers, potential customers, and attend trade shows.

B.S. degree in chemistry, biology or physics discipline, with 10 years’ relevant product management and sales experience.
